My One Word
For years, I desired to make a difference in the lives of others on a grand scale. There was always something nagging at me that I needed to achieve. Yesterday afternoon I was on a telephone call with my brothers. I love and respect them immensely. With a lot of excitement in my voice, I shared my new position as brand promoter for The Le-Vel Company. I shared all about how wonderful and full of energy I felt on day 2. I declared to my brothers that finally I will achieve all I set out to in life.
In this conversation, my brothers reminded me of all that I have already accomplished and why they love and admire me. They also reminded me of the lives I touch daily as a teacher. This conversation warmed my heart in so many ways. It confirmed that I have been on the right path all along. None of my experiences (good or bad) have been a waste. I have been blessed going and coming – my entire life!
At this point, all I want to do is pursue my passion of inspiring others to create the personal and financial success they desire and deserve. There is so much potential within us; yet this world and all that is currently happening around us tends to distract us from our purpose.
What’s inside you that you want to do, but you haven’t? Is there a goal? Something you love so much that you would skip meals and lose sleep to make it happen. What is stopping you? It has taken me years to settle in to my journey of pain, passion, and purpose.
Finally, I read the self-awareness book , “Your One Word“, written by Evan Carmichael. This book has been life-changing for me! It helped me to realize that my one word is THRIVE. This means to prosper; be fortunate or successful. A secondary meaning is to grow or develop vigorously; flourish.
I AM passionate about the notion of people thriving!
