It is nothing for me to wake up in the middle of the night with an active mind. Since my iPhone is my constant companion – I have learned to journal my thoughts in an application on my phone, then peacefully go back to sleep.
Today, I read an article entitled, “The Benefits of Journaling for Stress Management.” I have so many boxes of journals with many of my thoughts and experiences in them. Thinking back over my life, I definitely felt better when I was actively and consistently journaling.
According to the article, there are many reasons why people may journal; however, it has to be in a way that is natural and feels right. For me, it is about de-cluttering my mind. I guess that does relieve my stress.
