For many years I struggled with poor physical health, frustration in my career, dealing with the challenges of life’s circumstances, and having a victim mentality. I felt stuck and unsure of how to get unstuck.
In December of 2014, I became a certified English Language Arts teacher in a rural middle school on an Indian Reservation. This was a life-changing decision. During a teacher training I was introduced to the ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) Study. This training validated why I struggled so much over the years in many areas of my life. It was also the spark that lit the flame of turning it all around.
In March 2018, I founded the TRIBE Authentic Woman Workshop. Designed to be a safe place for women to do the work of discovering her true self, learning to walk and talk in alignment with her core values, and live her truth unapologetically. I have facilitated this 2-hour workshop monthly for the last year.
I have not blogged in quite a few days. Instead, I have been reading, meditating, praying, and deciding how I want to move forward with my entrepreneurial ventures while teaching Middle School. This is what inspired this month’s workshop topic: “You – The Co-creator of Your Reality”
Aside from teaching (which I value immensely), I have decided to focus and be more intentional about the single most important mission of my life: Supporting women in BEING their authentic self – mind, body, and spirit.
Peace and blessings,
